Darex is a command line utility which has the ability to extract all files from .dar archives, commonly
found in Konami's
Metal Gear Solid: Integral for the PC.
Usage:
darex sourcedar [-s]
Simple, eh? Use the -s switch to enable silent mode which suppresses all console output.
I decided to write Darex to see how quickly I could write a piece of very hacky C to fill a
particular purpose. Darex doesn't accept multiple files or directories
as a parameters, though. Maybe some kind of macro which automates Darex for a directory?
Smelling shamelessy of BlitzPlus... extra Darextra! Just copy Darex and Darextra into a directory
full of .dars and let rip!
In the archive is Darex, Darextra and their sources. Lucky for you,
you get the nice neat versions which I cleaned up.
I'd muchly much like to hear from folks who've used Darex and would like to offer me some
harsh coding advice, bearing in mind it's not meant to be pretty, it's just meant to -go-.
