Lemmings DS Upgrade v3.2

Good news! I’ve fixed the bug which caused intermittent crashes between the level select and level info screens. (Trivia fans can compare the sources between v3.1 and v3.2 to find my… umm… strange mistake.)

You can download Lemmings DS v3.2 in the Downloads section from the bar on the right.

Also, can I just make a request, folks: I can only make Lemmings DS work on devices that I have at my disposal. (That’s Supercard SD, and GBA flashcarts.)There is no way for me to be able to test modifications to Lemmings against devices I don’t have!

    Oh hey !

Your Lemmings Game is pretty good, but I can only run it on my M3. Cause of this I wanted to ask you if you could make it that this wonderful piece of Software works on the Gbamp too. I hope you can at least try it:

Hi Mr. Dictionary. Kudos to you for including the source, much appreciated for those of us trying to learn/use ndslib directly. FYI, it seems to work on DeSmuME and Dualis but crashes in no$gba($15 version for home use). Unfortunately the graphics are messed up on the new DS xtreme (single 4Gb cart that just came out), know you can’t test it however thought you might like to know. Everyhing goes smooth on the download except unzipping the 2007_01_04_LemmingsDS_Custom_Level_Utility_Source.zip
which gives a file corrupt error (am using winrar).
Best wishes for your effort, love the little lemmings squeaks :)

It will work with NO$GBA v2.3 if you have the NDS BIOS ROMS. Otherwise, it’ll just sit there and give you an error message. :)

I’ll fix that download right away, thanks. :)

M3 should work with the sc.nds version just by pushing A.
The other version should also work but you may need to push Start.

Sektor: Thanks but i was wondering what settings i would have to select in M3 Game Manager.

Are only 2 levels included in this? It crashes upon entering level 3 on my M3 Lite…

Got it working. Good thanks very much.

Paul: yeah i think its only 2 levels.

If you want to test out lemmings on devices you don’t have, check this site out:

    http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI/

Compatibility among cards will greatly increase if you decide to implement the DLDI.

Great work man! For devices - DLDI is really way to go now.

As pointed out before, there’s a custom Slot-1 version:

Matt, I think you should host/produce this Slot-1 version yourself in the future. What do you say?

  15. Matt February 7th, 2007 11:51 pm

I’m working closely with Tobias on a mostly-rewritten DLDI enabled Slot-1 version that isn’t just this one with all of the stuff mashed into the DS’ RAM.

I’m not going to host that DS-X one… well… because it’s fine where it is. :P

That’s great news that you’re going to make a DLDI enabled slot1 version :D !

Perhaps it will work on my M3Simply DS

a DLDI slot 1 version would be great - I have done a couple of levels for the palm port of lemmings - maybe it is possilbe to reuse them for the ds port ;) .

    Hey Matt,

I’d love to interview you for a feature I’m writing about homebrew on Modojo. Please let me know if you’re interested as soon as you can.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    Nice game.
Runs fine on my SuperCard Lite.
Will the original levels ever be in this game?

Setup a paypal donation thing, so we can donate ;)

Maybe you could use some of the proceeds to get other flash cards devices, etc.

Oops, just found your Paypal button, ignore the above, lol
