Many months ago, I was involved in a discussion about what games folks would like to see on the Nintendo DS.
Many old Amiga favourites were mentioned, such as
Cannon Fodder,
Syndicate, and so on. Then,
somebody suggested that a Nintendo DS port of
Lemmings would be good. Personally, I thought it wouldn't
be such a great idea; the stylus would simply be too inaccurate for the precise control demanded by the game.
Intrigued, I just had to try it.

Lemmings DS is a port of the original Lemmings engine and levels for the Nintendo DS.
You can download it from the LemProject
website for free and play it on your Nintendo DS if it's homebrew-ready, and you have a DLDI-enabled device.
You can also download the level editor, so you can
make your own levels and share them with other Lemmings players on the
mrdictionary.net forum.
It's open source as well, so you discover how the game works under the hood, and if you know how, you can make any
improvements you see fit.
All of the files and documentation can be found on the LemProject website!
